General Classes

General classes are geared towards those interested in learning Korean dance. Basic steps are taught in this program, such as breathing and fundamental movements with the body, hand and feet.

Basic beats and dances taught within general classes include: kootkori beat, 4–beat and basic beats, and arirang dance.

Cost of classes is $20 per class ($80 per month). To enroll for the whole term (from September to end of May) costs only $450. Ask us about our senior discount.

Monday 6:00pm – 7:00pm adult’s advance

Wednesday 10:30 am – 11:45 am adult’s advance, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm drum class

Thursday 1:30pm – 3:00pm adult's advance, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm children, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm adult's beginner

Sunday 9:00 am – 10:00 am children’s advance

Note: Christmas Break Dec. 19 to Jan. 9. All classes are cancelled on statutory holidays and during March Break

NEW! Special courses: Farmer's Dance and Music

KDSSC hosts its second foreign artist residency. This year we welcome samulnori specialist, Mr. Yeong Shik Park. Mr. Park is a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, trained by samulnori founder Duk Soo Kim. He is currently the lead performer in Sin Myung, touring throughout Korea, Europe, the US.
